Bingo Halls Destination Maps

Because bingo has grown to be such a favourite way to pass the time (and try to go for the gold), there are several bingo halls directories online where you can search for the closest hall to you in the UK. Many of these directories also have destination maps and local transport information so that you can easily find your way to any bingo halls that might be in the area.

While we usually know the locations that are closest to us, quite often we may be out of town on a holiday or for work and would like to play an evening of bingo. It’s for times like these that bingo halls destination maps come in handy. Tidy little maps will pull up from sites like Map Quest International or Maporama and you simply find where you are going, the quickest route and whether or not there are any public transport systems you can take to get there.

Sometimes we have a bit of a tiff with the mates we play bingo with and would just like to find another location to play for a time or two. Bingo halls destination maps are a great asset when you just aren’t familiar with where other bingo halls are located. Whether you are looking for a bingo hall near you, or one where you intend to spend a holiday, you can easily find the location and hours of operation online. Then you won’t have to miss a single minute of play time, because you’ll find your way quickly and be at the table before the first ball is called. It’s all in the game!

Bingo Halls UK Primer for Americans

Bingo is a favourite game around the world, but in each country you visit, the cards will probably be a bit different. Although the game itself is set up pretty much the same, with balls, a caller and a dabber (that’s dauber to Americans!) the cards will be quite different. In the US the columns are lined up 5 across spelling the word B-I-N-G-O, whereas in the UK, the cards are 9 columns by 3 rows (3 x 9).

Bingo halls in the UK will generally sell books of tickets (cards) and they may be colour coded, lime, gold, yellow, violet, grey, pink, blue, orange red and white, not necessarily in that order of course. They also sell multiple books of tickets that generally have 6 tickets of each colour. Experienced players can play all six tickets at the same time while newcomers may want to start out slowly with one or two tickets.

In some bingo halls across the UK, callers will call the balls quite rapidly so there is no time to search for your numbers if you are not quick about it! It is always best to start slowly, and get a handle on the game before trying to keep up with the balls. It is suggested that if you want to socialize a bit that you go to some of the bingo halls in the smaller villages and by the shore. In the cities the players are serious about their game and tend to be a bit more formal, but in the towns and villages, bingo halls are the local meeting places where you’ll get to meet the people and maybe win a prize or two!

How to Find Bingo Halls in the UK

Sometimes we feel like a quick game of bingo and don’t really feel like going to our usual bingo hall because we might get caught up chatting with friends and spending more time than we had planned. While a good game of bingo is always just what the doctor ordered, it doesn’t mean we want to spend hours at the hall. Or, maybe when out of town on a business trip we have a few hours to ourselves and what’s nicer than a lovely game (or two, or three!) of bingo!

The best way to find bingo halls in the UK is to actually search for them online. Some sites list literally every single bingo hall in the UK, and provide information on websites if those halls have them. You can find bingo halls in Wales, Scotland, England and Ireland. Some are open every day, and some have certain days of the week that they are open to play. It’s just a matter of doing a quick online search, getting the address and phone number, and you’re off to a great evening of fun.

Finding bingo halls is the easy part; tearing yourself away once you get there is a little trickier! Although we all just want a quick game or two, once the caller starts calling those balls, you’re in for the long haul, and hopefully the jackpot! Everywhere you go throughout the UK, there is sure to be a bingo hall that has the prizes you are looking for and at least one day a week where you can enjoy your favourite pastime – BINGO!
